About this Cruise:
It might be the start of Winter, but you can still get out on your boat and enjoy the Bay. Come join us as we Cruise In Company and enjoy some time on your boat along with a cozy and warm fireplace in the QCYC Clubhouse. Queenscliff is a great destination anytime of the year and you have the option of booking to stay at either QCYC or the Queenscliff Marina.
The Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club (QCYC) located on Swan Island has a great clubhouse including a woodfire to keep the chills away. QCYC has a full range of facilities including bathrooms, showers, full kitchen facilities, and outdoor BBQ area complete with a wood fired pizza oven.
We will depart SYC on Saturday 8 June, after a 09:30 briefing at the Ken King Centre. There will be lots of time to relax, enjoy Queenscliff and to catch up with friends.
After sailing down to Queenscliff on Saturday, Sunday is yours to explore the surrounding area. Maybe check out the Maritime Museum, stroll around town looking at the galleries or do some shopping. Or just chillout at QCYC reading a book, exploring the island’s natural features and observing the local wildlife. On Sunday night, there will be a pizza evening ($15 per person). Monday, it’s time to return to SYC at your own pace after a great weekend in Paradise.
For those who choose to stay at the Marina it’s easy to come over to QCYC in a dinghy, so let us know where you are booked in.
All attendees will need to register on TryBooking and pay the associated fees ($25 per night boat and skipper registration plus crew who are non-QCYC members at $5pp per night). SYC will liaise with QCYC to arrange berthing. You will not need to register and pay for berthing at QCYC (this is a new process this time around).
