Marina visitors are welcome, however as we are nearly always at capacity, it is essential to contact the Marina and Yard Manager prior to your arrival to avoid disappointment. Visitor berthing is subject to availability and is based on a first come/first tie up system. Once you have confirmed there is an available berth for your stay, upon arrival at the marina, please then register with the Guest Relations Desk.
The Guest Relations Desk is located at the south-eastern corner of the clubhouse, where you will be issued with a club key giving you access to our Club. Please bring with you, your licence, proof of current Club membership and credit card for security deposit. Insurance for your vessel, including public liability cover a minimum AUD $5 million, is also required.
A charge of $50.00 inc GST per night is applicable. This covers: water/power, toilet/showers and access to the Clubhouse. This is for short term only.
Sandringham Yacht Club’s marina and yard facilities include a 356 berth floating marina situated on 6.5 hectares of Port Phillip Bay, with a depth limit for access of 3.5m. The maximum boat length is 20m and there is no height restriction. Our Marina is one of the largest and most modern, fully serviced floating facilities in Victoria.
The SYC Yard provides a full range of boating support facilities including a 30 boat slipway, 40 tonne travel lift, 2 hardstand areas and yard operations encompassing boat yard storage, keel pits, yacht and power boat brokers, boat chandlery and rigging shop on site.
Guests are invited to use the Club’s facilities and we ask that you adhere to SYC’s various house rules including our Code of Conduct. We invite and encourage our visiting yachtsmen and women to dine in the Club’s Members’ Bar and Harbour View Restaurant.
You will find shower facilities and conveniences located on the marina’s edge at the Ken King Centre. The Marina also offers Dockside Discharge Unit, Security Gate entry, power & water to each marina berth and in the Clubhouse you will find free WiFi, access to computer terminals and a courtesy cab phone.
Additionally, there is a strip of shops along the thoroughfare of Hampton Street. Stretching north to over one kilometre from Crisp Street, this retail shopping precinct features supermarkets, bakeries, convenience stores, Laundrette services, clothing stores, antiques shops, personal services and more. Train and Bus Services are also readily available.
