Marine Radio Courses

If you heard an emergency call… would you know how to respond?

Equally as important, if you had to make one … would your message be understood?

Radios are an important means of attracting attention in an emergency or helping someone else who is in trouble.  The potential to save lives is the most important reason for fitting marine radios however they must be used properly and responsibly.

The Office of Maritime Communications at the Australian Maritime College is responsible for the management of all functions associated with marine radio examinations and certification services in Australia.  This includes the management of the invigilator network across Australia, production and distribution of the Marine Radio Operators Handbook, production and distribution of examination papers and certificates for all marine radio courses.
