The SYC Marina in today’s Herald Sun…

Page 12 of today’s Herald Sun has publicised one of SYC’s best kept little secrets – the J7 submarine situated in our beautiful Marina.

Herald Sun photographer Alex Coppell was onsite on the weekend and was blown away when he came across the submarine, so he got the drone out took a beautiful pic and that’s what features on page 12 of today’s Herald Sun.

For more than 80 years the former 274 foot British World War 1 submarine known as J7 has sat in the SYC Marina…and you can read up on the sub here.

Our very own Club historian Graeme Disney (Mr. Diz) is featuring on next week’s podcast to give us the story of the submarine and how it made its way to Sandy.

The SYC Marina is a great option for any boat owners out there looking for a berth. The marina occupancy is dynamic and changes regularly. Whilst our occupancy is close to 100%, opportunities surface for new tenants all the time. If you are interested in a berth we would be very pleased to show you around, talk to you about the Club in general and all the benefits that SYC Membership offers. Our Marina is supported by excellent yard and land based facilities and we are very proud of our welcoming culture and Sandy hospitality. Please call Paul on 0407 829 851 if we can assist.
