Club Marine SYC Boating Academy

Learn to sail with our boating academy

Our Club Marine SYC Boating Academy (SYCBA) is an accredited Australian Sailing Discover Sailing Centre. We offer a wide variety of on-water and theory learn to sail and training courses onsite at Sandringham Yacht Club. Since it’s opening in 2002 SYCBA has continued to be a leading ‘Learn to Sail’ centre. We’re proud to say that SYCBA is currently the number one Discover Sailing Centre for Keelboat Courses in Australia. Also, SYCBA is the second largest Discover Sailing Centre.

We offer a range of courses covering learn to sail, power boating, navigation, radio and engine care. Regardless of your age or ability, there is a course to suit everyone. If you are unsure of where to start, come and chat to our friendly team in the SYC boating office.

Our team of dedicated and passionate instructors will support you to reach your full potential as you learn to sail, navigate or drive powerboats. We also have a variety of pathways to help you become involved in the club however you choose to.
