About this Cruise:
Enjoy three nights in company with fellow cruisers on the Bay before returning to SYC to join in on all the Cup Day fun in the Clubhouse.
We have planned for two nights at Geelong before spending a night at Wyndham Harbour. This gives us the opportunity for a relaxed cruise but enables us to participate in the events at SYC.
After cruising from Sandringham to Geelong on Saturday we plan to have a group dinner enjoying the hospitality at Royal Geelong Yacht Club. Please let us know if you plan to join us for this dinner so we can reserve space.
Sunday is set aside for those that want to explore Geelong or just relax on their boat. Plan for you own dinner arrangements on Sunday, but we will have a refreshments on the RGYC foreshore in the late afternoon.
Geelong is a beautiful city with many historic buildings and laneways to explore. The Geelong foreshore is also home to some interesting sculptures and is well worth a stroll to learn more about the history of the area. We will endeavour to find an interesting optional group tour or activity for Sunday.
From Geelong we travel to Wyndham Harbour to spend Monday night there before returning to SYC. This gives us plenty of time to socialise in a relaxed, friendly environment before arriving back at SYC to join in the Cup Day activities in the member’s bar. Please note the $50 per boat will cover the Wyndham Harbour stay and will contribute towards the group dinner on the Monday night.
