Dolphin Play was sitting in the top 20 until one bad tack approaching the finish mark placed her in a melee of yachts and she dropped to 27th. On the first time past Number 4 she was in third place and only on the final leg did the red Triton manage to get in front of her by heading for the club end of the finish line away from the crowd, finishing 23rd and just 1 min in front of Dolphin Play.
