Interruption to SYC Electricity Supply

Thursday, 20th July 2017

Dear Members,

The Club has been notified by United Energy there will be a planned electricity outage that will affect SYC on Sunday 30 July 2017. The power outage will occur between the hours of 8:30am and 1:30pm.

This will impact all areas of the Club namely; the marina and yard will be without power and the fuel system will not function. We recommend that any boat owner’s plan ahead by disconnecting power and removing any perishables on-board. If Paul Gascoigne or his staff can help, please let us know via the office on 9599 0901 and we will do what we can to assist.

Whilst the main Clubhouse will also be without mains electricity, it will trade as normal via the generator we have onsite. The club made a significant investment in a generator several years ago and it continues to pay dividends during both planned and unplanned outages.

Please note that the Ken King Centre will not be able to trade but we will open the Members Bar from 8:00am so that all Members can still get a coffee and anything else that Ken King would normally offer.

The email notification from United Energy can be read here

Kind regards
