Based on the latest government announcements which came into effect as of Monday 23 November, the following now applies to our core on-water boating activities.

Keelboat Update

It has been great to be back on the water running our favourite keelboat events.

For our keelboat racing, there is a range of important information to take note of:

  • All races for the balance of 2020 will be standalone races each day and will not form part of a series; All series will commence as of January 2021;
  • The Notices of Races are available online and entries are now open for the Spring Racing. Links for both of these are available below.
  • Our existing Sailing Instructions will be extended until the end of December 2020 in an effort to re-commence sailing in the same manner/format as previous racing (see below link);
  • Due to COVID-19 restrictions all boats and competitors are required to comply with the keelboat racing plan available in the Club COVIDSafe plan.
  • There will be no prize giving ceremonies, winner announcements or gatherings after racing, but we’ll find a way to make sure race winners are recognised and receive their glasses;
  • The calendar is available through eCal and you can also download a PDF through the below link.

As of Monday 23 November, the following will no longer apply:

  • There will no longer be any crew limits for race days.
  • Masks and social distancing are no longer required while sailing.
