SYC and Mercedes-Benz Brighton extend partnership for 2 years

Wednesday, 27th April 2016

Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) is pleased to announce a two year extension on its partnership with Mercedes-Benz Brighton.

Mercedes-Benz Brighton (MBB) has expanded its support of SYC in a major way, with its sponsorship now encompassing:

  • The reinvigorated ‘Corporate Day’ – rebadged as the ‘Mercedes-Benz Brighton Port Phillip Challenge’
  • Mercedes-Benz Brighton Wednesday Wonders, a series that continues to grow and is now becoming the largest regular fleet on Port Phillip
  • Mercedes-Benz Brighton Thursday Twilight series
  • Mercedes-Benz Brighton Saturday Aggregate Series
  • Mercedes-Benz Brighton Sunday Sailors

Commenting on the company’s decision to continue and enhance its support of sailing at SYC, Dealer Principal of Mercedes-Benz Brighton, Geoff Quirk, said: “We are thrilled to continue our support of this fine club.  We have been highly impressed with the club, the committee and all support staff making us feel part of the SYC family.  Naturally we have also been delighted to assist so many members with their vehicle requirements and look forward to helping many more in the years ahead.’’

SYC Commodore Kate Mitchell stated “We are delighted to extend the partnership with our friends at Mercedes-Benz Brighton for a further two years. The sponsorship brings many direct benefits to the Members of SYC and like all of our relationships, it is one based on friendship and loyalty. It is a pleasure to re-sign with Geoff and the team at MBB and we know all SYC Members will get a good deal from them when next in the market for a car”.

SYC continues to go from strength to strength. Fleet numbers in all keelboat programs across the week are growing and club membership numbers are at a new all-time high.

SYC Vice-Commodore and Farr 40 skipper Rob Davis said “The MBB Port Phillip Challenge is the Bays premier Corporate Day where Industry Chiefs gather together for a competitive on water yachting experience, followed by lunch and presentations in the great surrounds of the SYC clubhouse. For an event of this nature and calibre, MBB join us as the ideal partner to compliment the day”.

SYC Members who have purchased a MBB vehicle or use their service division, are encouraged to bring their car and join us in a combined photo shoot to be held on Club premises in the coming weeks. If that’s you, please contact me on [email protected]

Don’t forget if you are in the market for a vehicle to get in touch with friends at the MBB dealership – you will get looked after and MBB also provide SYC with a $500 rebate which gets directly injected into the provision of boating services at SYC.
