Sandringham Yacht Club to host the Woodstock Victorian Open, Women and Youth Match Racing State Championships

Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) is pleased to announce that it will host the Woodstock Victorian Open, Women and Youth Match Racing State Championships on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September 2016 to be raced in the waters of Port Phillip, off Sandringham Yacht Club.

This event will be sailed in SYC’s six Beneteau 7.5m yachts and will consist of a round robin series and a final series. The winner of the Open, Women and Youth Divisions will all receive prizes with the winner of the Youth Division also being awarded the SYC Victorian Youth Match Racing Championship perpetual trophy.

There will be a maximum of ten teams invited to enter the Woodstock Victorian Open, Women and Youth Match Racing State Championships. A competitor wishing to be invited should register their intention with the OA by completing the Application for Invitation which is included in the Notice of Race. We ask that all applications are to be submitted to SYC by Friday 2 September 2016.

Competitors can expect a full weekend of great Sandy hospitality including great racing on the clubs Beneteau fleet, honorary membership, use of club facilities, regatta merchandise (long sleeved tops) and a presentation ceremony including BBQ on the Northern Podium on Sunday 25 September post regatta. It should be a great weekend at Sandy!
