After a successful State Titles that were conducted on the Gippsland lakes in March, the off the beach Tasar crews are now training for 45th Australian Tasar Championship (otherwise known as the Tasar Nationals). This year the championships are being organised in conjunction with the Darwin Sailing Club on the waters of Fannie Bay, Darwin from 18 to 25 July 2018 and at this stage, we have 2 boats from SYC who are planning to attend.
As with any lead up to a regatta this means lots of training, so if you see a lonely Tasar or 2 training out in the cold weather go and say hello or better still offer to buy them a hot chocolate at the bar!!
