JUNIOR OVERSEAS & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FUNDS RAFFLE
The Junior Overseas & Youth Development Funds Raffle is an annual effort to raise funds to support our Youth and Intermediate sailors wishing to compete in interstate and overseas championship regattas. These funds are managed through the Sandringham Yacht Club Foundation.
Over many years, this Foundation has offered financial support from the proceeds of this raffle to eligible Junior and Intermediate sailors representing SYC. Without the support of the Junior Overseas & Youth Development Funds Raffle, and the funding support it provides, our next generation of sailors may not have future opportunities to compete at World and European Championships or Olympic regattas.
Recipients of funding undertake a rigorous application and approval process administered in accordance with the OTB Sailing Centre Financial Support Policy through the SYC OTBSC Committee and the Foundation Funding Policy.
This year we will be selling tickets online and can be purchased by clicking here. The raffle will be drawn on Friday 20 December at 7:30pm in the Members’ Bar after OTB Twilight racing has concluded!
With the raffle this year being drawn at 7:30pm on Friday 20 December, we encourage you to either pass on the Raffle details to family, friends and colleagues or consider purchasing them yourself and help us to continue to build upon the traditions of the SYC Foundation by supporting this raffle.
This year’s raffle has an excellent prize list and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Giant Hampton, Sitro, Outdoor Living Direct, Ronstan, The Club Marine Sandringham Yacht Club Boating Academy and Sandringham Yacht Club for their donations and support.
