We have a very healthy fleet of close to twenty active J24s at Sandy who compete in over 50 available races throughout summer and are busy getting ready for the upcoming season. Last weekend, seven boats and a collection of crews and friends set sail in champagne sailing conditions for Melbourne City Marina at Docklands and a traditional meet and eat at the Marina Club House. By the looks of the photos, a great time was had by this great group of sailors!
Many of you may not be aware, but the J24 group have a fantastic J24 Youth Program which offers up a J24 boat to a young skipper and crew for the season which is a great opportunity for a group of our younger members to take the next step in their sailing career onto a keelboat.
