Anzac Day Service – this Saturday 25 April, SYC we will be posting a memorable Anzac Day video service that pays tribute to our national day of remembrance. It will feature Reg Walsh on trumpet, Tim Little reading the ODE, Emily Close reading the Requiem, Normie Rowe with a special song and Club Chaplain Graeme Disney reading the Benediction. This will be followed by a reflection of scenes from SYC Anzac Day (Dunkirk re-enactment) narrated by Robyn Brooke. The video will be available this Saturday from 6am (0600 hours) – click on this link to view.
And in good news, some of our staff are now returning to work under the jobkeeper scheme so we have the opportunity to deploy them and give them different tasks …….here’s two new (free) Member Services for you to take advantage of;
SYC Weekend Hand Car Wash – this weekend on both Sat & Sun between the hours of 11am – 5pm pop down to SYC to pick up some food at Ken King and park your car in our drive through hand car wash. We will have 4 bays operating manned by our friendly SYC staff and they will give your car an external clean. No need to book, just turn up, wait your turn, leave your car with the team, grab some food (remembering that’s the reason you are allowed to leave home) come back and drive off in a clean car. Or another way of looking at it, come down and purchase a thai inspired lamb shank with mash for $14 which includes a car wash.
SYC Boat Wash – for our very special boat owners, we are also introducing SYC Boat Wash. If you’d like your boat to be put on the register for a simple wash down and clean over the coming weeks, then please email James Sly at [email protected] – there is no charge for this service but it is simple wash down in all the accessible external areas. We will take before and after photos and send them to you as well.
And don’t forget we are also doing home deliveries of our Ken King Take Away food – ring in between the hours of 10am-5pm to place your order 9599 0999.
