The annual Victorian Sailing Awards are being held at Sandringham Yacht Club tonight in the Port Phillip Room at 7:30pm. The awards night reflects on the success of Victorian club members in the various sailing and boating events held over the last 12 months.
There are a number of SYC members who have been nominated for various awards and we would like to wish them all good luck to for tonight. The following members have been nominated as a finalist in their respective categories:
- Megan Aulich – Women and Girls in Sailing Local Hero Award
- Jack Challands – Junior Sailor of the Year
- David McCutcheon – Motor Yachtsperson of the Year
- Hugo Ottaway – Keelboat Sailor of the Year
- George Shaw – Victorian Services to Sailing Award
- Stewart Simmons – Victorian Services to Sailing Award
- Rod Warren – Keelboat Sailor of the Year
We also have the following awards in which our Club or a staff member has been nominated for:
- Sandringham Yacht Club – Club of the Year
- Riccardo Deghi – Contribution to Junior and Youth Sailing
- Club Marine Sandringham Yacht Club Boating Academy – Discover Sailing Centre of the Year
- Club Marine Sandringham Yacht Club Boating Academy – Discover Sailing Program of the Year
