Junior Captain Announcement

Dear OTB community,

It is my great pleasure to announce that the Junior Club Captain for the 2015-2016 season is Lachlan Coman. Lachlan has been a member at SYC for 6 years, starting in C Fleet before moving into the International Cadet Class, firstly as a crew and now as the Skipper of ‘Longreach’. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Lachlan on his election to this position.

Also, a big thank you to all who joined in for the second working bee at OTB on Saturday 22nd August. With over 25 volunteers armed with rollers, paint brushes and plenty of enthusiasm, the entire interior of the OTB building was painted in just over two hours. A great sense of community spirit was enjoyed by all as we painted together and then shared a sausage sizzle and drink. Our third working bee takes place on Saturday 5th September starting at 10.30 am, and our aim is to finish all painting so that the rooms are ready for the start of the season. I look forward to seeing you all there!
