This is the second time course 28 has been selected for a race this series. It was selected for race 6 and has been successful on both occasions. All starters in each race successfully completed the course. Conditions for the two races were quite different. For race 6 there was an 18 knot northerly whilst race 8 was sailed in a 12 knot westerly. In this 10.1 nautical mile race most yachts made each of the 8 marks without having to tack or gybe. However none of the last third of the fleet to start the race, where among the first third of the fleet to finish. For example, STAMPEDE (Christopher Gendala) and WICKED (Mike Welsh) started and finished in 33rd and 34th place respectively. Read more…
