With an average speed of about 18 knots from the NNW this was the strongest wind of the series so far. The breeze produced something of a lumpy sea but ensured all 39 yachts completed the 10.1 nautical mile course 28 in record time. By comparison the average course length of the first 5 races was 8.3 miles. The average elapsed time was 1:46:38 compared to 2:00:19 for the first 5 races. Read more…
