The first 10 yachts to cross the finish line all had handicaps of 40 minutes or over. Although there were exceptions yachts that started early finished towards the back of the fleet and vice versa. It appeared the start order had been turned upside down. Once again the light breeze played a significant role in the outcome of the race. It was the second shortened course of the series. The 6 leg course 25 became a 3 leg course of about 6.4 nautical miles which was effectively a windward return race. Read more…
