Wednesday Wonders Winter Series 2018 Race 13 – Just Not Enough Breeze

Exactly half way through the winter series and the long continuous run of 12 consecutive races came to an end when race 13 was abandoned. It was the first race to be abandoned since race 24 of the summer series. There were 5 races abandoned in that series as a result of either strong or gale force winds. This race was different, it was abandoned due to the opposite – lack of breeze. The BOM forecast “variable winds below 10 knots” and that proved to be correct.
