Forecast was for a sunny day of 20˚
Met Eye forecast SSE wind 6knts dropping to 5knts
Willy Wind forecast SSE 6knts to 5knts by 17.00.
The predictions were fairly accurate. Mark envisaged that there might not be sufficient wind to keep moving, but only around No1 did the smaller yachts come to a stand still, where the bigger yachts passed by taking the wind with them, or used up the entire breeze that was there. Fun and Games gets the gentleman’s award for allowing room for a yacht that was “stalled” trying to round the mark. Read more…
