MIDNIGHT MAGIC (Bernadette Moore) led a 32 yacht fleet across the start line to begin race 1 of the WW 2019-20 summer series. Along with the “WW regulars” was the Beneteau 45 First DEBONNAIRE (Phil Gomez) who has had success in Sunday races and is the same model Beneteau as CONQUEST (Paul Jacka). Also in the 32 yacht fleet was MARAMA (Catherine Dawson) who sailed one race in the winter series as a casual entry. The race took the fleet
around the 9.9 nautical mile course 26. This course is made up of two triangles which in a southerly breeze that averaged around 14 knots had the fleet sailing a reach, a beat and a run. Read more…
