A northerly breeze that averaged about 15 knots for the afternoon and gusted up to 22 knots was probably more than most expected. It was more than enough to propel the 38 yacht fleet around the 9.8 nautical mile course in quick time. The race was over when the last yacht crossed the finish line at 1553. Overtaking was minimal. If you were among the early starters then you were probably among the early finishers. If you were among the late starters then you probably finished among the late finishers.
