With 38 yachts in this race the size of the WW fleet is already back to pre lockdown size. After two abandoned races the weather was much kinder for this race with blue skies and an east south easterly to south easterly breeze that averaged about 12 knots for the afternoon. The race took the fleet around the 9.7 nautical mile course 23 – a course seldom sailed. On this occasion it offered a downwind start and included a couple of legs well over 2 miles long. Read more…
