The Commodore, Flag Officers, members and staff of Sandringham Yacht Club mourn the passing of Erich Grandin.
Erich passed away after recent illnesses on Wednesday 28 July, 2021 aged 74 years. He was a valued member at SYC for 33 years.
Erich most recently crewed on Independent Endeavour and was well respected as an amazing catering officer especially known for his scones and roast meals.
He served on the Off the Beach Committee, was an enthusiastic volunteer around our Club, possessed great values and was very kind.
Erich was always jovial with a big smile, a keen knot expert and a good storyteller. He also participated in the scouting movement and the Hearts of Oak Lodge.
All who knew him shall miss his presence.
Erich’s funeral service was held on 4 August, 2021.
