After an overnight minimum temperature of 2º C in Melbourne there was a definite wintry feel to the start of the day. However, clear skies, sunshine and a forecast northerly of around 10 knots laid the foundation for a very pleasant mornings sail. With such a moderate breeze no speed records were going to be broken but keeping an eye open for any variation in the wind could reap rewards.
