As part of SYC ongoing asset planning, all of our 7 fixed marks on Port Phillip are being upgraded to this standardised Sealite Yellow Buoy. They are big, bright yellow, clearly labelled and have nice big numbering – once in place you won’t miss them!
They will also feature synthetic mooring lines and 400kg concrete weights generously provided by SYC Member Garry Finemore of Mentone Pre Mix. The marks are being deployed to their new homes in Port Phillip and a big thank you to Bert Cross and his team from Aegir Divers who are managing the deployment over the coming days.
This is another sizeable investment in essential assets that enable the conduct of club racing at Sandy.
