Tackers
Tackers is a fun introductory, games-based kids learn to sail program designed for ages 7 to 12 years. Kids don’t need to have any sailing experience or club membership to participate. All the equipment, including the boats, is provided. Tackers is delivered in small groups of boats specifically designed for the program and supervised by Australian Sailing qualified Instructors and Assistant Instructors who are on the water all the time the kids are sailing.
Tackers courses are run from 9am to 12pm.

The Club Marine Sandringham Yacht Club Boating Academy is excited to announce that we have launched our new OutThere Sailing program. Our OutThere Sailing program targets teenagers aged between 12 to 17 years of age and offers them a fun and engaging age based program.
OutThere Sailing offers participants the perfect opportunity to spend time on the water, socialise with existing and new friends as well as the potential to build life-long friendships, all whilst having fun in boats!
This program offers a broad range of activities including dinghy sailing, keelboat sailing, stand up paddle boarding and powerboating. OutThere also focuses on the social element of a club environment, allowing participants to simply enjoy their time spent with peers whether that be on the water, on the beach or in the clubhouse.
OutThere Sailing is designed to keep friends together which means, regardless of their skill level they can still sail together. Our OutThere programs are delivered in two different age groups, 12 to 14 years old and 15 to 17 years old.
OutThere programs will run during school holidays, on Saturday afternoons and also after school on Thursday nights. There are plenty of options available so it’s the perfect opportunity for teenagers to get active!
We would like to encourage all of our members, your children, grandchildren and their friends to try this new program with friends and enjoy their time on the water learning some new skills and most importantly, having fun!
