At the January 2017 Bayside City Council Australia Day awards SYC won the environment award for an organisation – go Sandy!
In 2016 SYC was reaccredited as a Level 3 Clean Marina (read all about it here) – and this formed a key part of the award being bestowed on the Club.
We would also like to congratulate some of the other winners on the night including;
- Robert Bishop – Citizen of the Year
- The Great Australia Day Swim – Community Event of the Year
- Vicki Karalis AM – Environment Award to an Individual
