It’s hard to think of a better way to spend time on a warm, sunny Saturday in summer than on a boat, on the water, and sharing time with like minded people.
Saturday 3rd February saw a mixed fleet of 28 Skippers and nearly 60 members and friends enjoying a trip up The Bay to Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron at St Kilda and mooring up along the eastern walkway of the marina.
What a great way to get to know other boat owners and share stories about trips taken and journeys planned. Walking along the dock between boats was quite a lengthy process as it seemed every boat you passed, someone would call out a greeting and urge you to join them. After an extended lunch, it was with some reluctance that crews stowed the remains of their food and drinks and headed back to SYC. It was a much brisker sail home but what a beautiful evening it turned into. We look forward to sharing more time on the water with all who enjoy their boat, whether it be big or small, power or sail.
