Join global yacht club leaders in Melbourne for five inspiring days of ideas, innovation, networking and unforgettable experiences.

Sandringham Yacht Club is proud to announce it will host the prestigious International Council of Yacht Clubs World Forum in Melbourne in April 2027, welcoming yacht club leaders and senior industry representatives from around the world to Victoria.

Held under the theme “Collaborate to Innovate – Shaping the Future of Yacht Clubs”, the Forum is regarded as one of the leading global gatherings for the yacht club industry. The event brings together international clubs to share ideas, explore emerging trends and discuss the future of sailing, marina operations, hospitality, member engagement and club management in an evolving global environment.

The event program will also incorporate the Yacht Club Managers Group conference, a respected network representing more than 50 leading yacht clubs from Australia, New Zealand and abroad. Combined, the events are expected to attract up to 150 delegates flying into Victoria from around the world, creating a significant opportunity to showcase Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay as world-class boating destinations.

Hosting the Forum further strengthens Sandringham Yacht Club’s reputation as one of Australia’s premier sailing and boating destinations and reflects the Club’s growing standing on the international stage. Delegates will experience Sandringham’s outstanding waterfront facilities, hospitality and event delivery capabilities.

SYC is already working closely with partners and stakeholders to create a memorable and engaging program both on and off the water, highlighting innovation, collaboration and the important role yacht clubs continue to play in building strong boating communities around the world.
