SYC J70 Youth Squad Program

This course fine-tunes the sailor in all aspects of the sport. Racing rules, tactics, campaign planning, sail trim and boat maintenance are just some of the subjects covered over the course.

The program will be held over 14 on-water sessions between October 2024 and April 2025 (in addition to an induction session). During this time, there are a number of additional opportunities available to participants including J70 Sprint Series race days and state and national level events. Attendance at state and national level events will be generously supported by the SYC Foundation, assisting in covering some of the costs involved in competing.

Each session will be four hours in duration (unless otherwise specified) with the program dates and start times set out below. It is expected that participants will be rigged and ready by the specified time to get the most out of the session.
