SYC has recently purchased four J70s with the arrival of boats five and six due in a few months time. Our SYC J70 Sailing Program was a great success in its first year and our SYC J70 Regattas will be just one of the ways we hope to get the greater membership of SYC involved with the Club’s J70s.
SYC will be hosting a series of regattas throughout winter, available exclusively to SYC members. The regattas will vary in format and will provide members from all areas of the Club the opportunity to get a group of mates together to compete against fellow members.
The initial plan is to host three regattas, with one each month throughout July, August and September. If there is excess demand, there is a possibility that additional regattas will be scheduled.
All you need is a team of four or five sailors and to enter the regatta(s) of interest. The boats will be supplied for these events, making it an easy, affordable and fun weekend of sailing for SYC members.
