Race 6 came to an end when the last of the 18 starters crossed the finish line at 11:51:40. They had sailed around the longest course of the series (10.2 nautical miles) in a relatively fast time with the strongest average breeze of the series. (None of the fleet flew a spinnaker). This is the second time this course has been sailed this series. This time the race was with a 19 knot northerly rather than the 17 knot westerly experienced in race 2. The average elapsed time was 2 minutes 29 seconds faster than the earlier race. Read more…
