A good course and good weather combined to make the last Sunday race of 2019 a good one. A south south easterly breeze that averaged about 13 knots for the morning saw 21 of the 23 starters complete the 9.8 nautical mile course 24 in an average time of 1:58:59. There was a tight finish with a yacht crossing the finish line at an average of every 40 seconds with 15 minutes 14 seconds separating first from last – the closest finish of the summer so far.
