Sunday Sailors Summer series 2019-20 Race 4 – The Handicapper Has a Win!

It’s not unusual for a handicapper to be on the receiving end of friendly gripes, grumbles and grizzles but he had a win with this race when COPYRIGHT (Stuart Morrison Jack) was first across the finish line. On board were three generations of Morrison Jacks’. Three generations of any family on the winning yacht has to be a rare event. Nevertheless, it is unlikely to put an end to and could increase the seemingly endless gripes, grumbles and grizzles about handicaps. This race took place in light and variable winds that averaged about 5 knots at Fawkner Beacon. There were frequent knocks and lifts and tacking on the knocks usually resulted in tacking back shortly afterwards.
