SYC recently ran a bar promotion giving away a Kraken Stand Up Paddle Board and SYC Members Brenton & Selena Francis were the lucky winners.
In a very generous gesture, Brenton and Selena have gifted the $1800 board back to the Club and would like to silent auction it off – with a view to using the proceeds to fund getting a deserving young recipient into the sport of sailing.
What a great idea – So we are now running a silent auction and the proceeds will fund a Season Pass Scholarship including an annual membership. The scholarship will be advertised locally and Brenton and Selena, together with Bill Stubbs will preside over the applicants and determine the appropriate recipient.
So if you’d like a Stand Up Paddle Board for Christmas, it will go to the highest bidder in a silent auction we are running up until Christmas Eve.
