Dear Members
Tomorrow is looking like another very busy day at the Club with a number of on-water events scheduled including the Laser World Championship preparations and all trading areas expected to be busy. In addition the weather forecast is 29 degrees and sunny which suggests a beach crowd may descend on the local area as well.
Despite our booking, we were told yesterday that Treybit Reserve is no longer being made available to SYC for overflow car parking, it has been double booked (not by us) and there is a private event being held in there.
So please note the following;
1) For those with Full Membership and onsite parking privileges, our normal SYC car park is open but it will be at reduced capacity due to the Laser Championship boat storage. This will fill very early.
2) Where feasible please consider catching a taxi or a rideshare or get dropped off. If you live locally, perhaps consider walking or riding down. If you absolutely need to drive, then please carpool where you can but please note parking will be extremely limited.
3) If you are a Bayside rate payer, STA please park in one of the nearby Council car parks on Jetty Rd.
4) We have additional bike racking available at the northern end of the under croft (as the vast majority of the Laser competitors ride to the Club)
And finally if using the Member car park, please do not double park or park in SYC driveways – this only causes angst, may invalidate your insurance and may prevent emergency service vehicles from gaining access.
