Saturday 18th February – Aggregate Series Race 7A Tam O’Shanter (IRC) and Jisuma (AMS/YV) Trophy Race

Thursday, 9th February 2017

This year, the Tam O’Shanter (IRC) and Jisuma (AMS/YV) long distance day/night race will be a slightly different race format to previous years.

It will start at 10.00am on Saturday morning and is intended to finish around 10pm Saturday night.  It will be a boat start, fixed marks course that takes participants around Port Phillip. The course length will vary depending on conditions, but is designed to run into the evening and finish at SYC Tower to provide some experience racing at night.

Divisional winners on IRC are awarded the Tam O’Shanter trophy and divisional winners on AMS and YV are awarded the Jisuma trophy.  There will be no minimum starters for a score in any division (yes this is correct and this differs to what is stated in the Notice of Race).  As this race runs after sunset, the Safety Category is YA/AS Category 5N.  For participants in the Club Aggregate Series, their best score from this race or race 7B will be counted in the Series Score.
