Wednesday, 18th October saw a large crowd of 80 Sandringham Yacht Club members and their guests attend the latest Guest Speaker Night in the Port Phillip Room at SYC.
The Presenter was a well-known identity in the fishing world, Mr Dugga Beasley.
Dugga entertained us all with his passionate stories of his 60-year fishing career on Port Phillip Bay.
We were all captivated with tales of his fascinating life on the bay catching that elusive Snapper.
Dugga was very generous in passing on his secrets and expertise on fishing and most entertaining to listen to.
We all have a better understanding of longline fishing, and how dedicated you need to be to make a living from natures backyard.
We thank Dugga for sharing his life on the sea.
