Rec Boating – April Docklands Cruise
Our April cruise saw 20 boats and 47 SYC members enjoying a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon trip to the top of the Bay in a softening 10 knots of breeze and leisurely run up the river to Docklands.
All gathered up in the Marina lounge for a wine tasting hosted by Lee from Chirping Bird wines and platters of nibbles. After a very enjoyable catch up with everyone savouring the wines provided, the crew from Winsome were announced as the winners of the reverse quiz (though there were some very imaginative and notable mentions announced too). Following on from a fun start to the evening most enjoyed a nice dinner and further time with friends old and new, with some even partying on well into the evening!!!!
Sunday brought a calm overcast day, though not too cool, that saw most enjoying a leisurely motor back to SYC.
As always a very fun weekend was had by all.
The Rec Boating committee look forward to running another fun cruise over the June Long Weekend (12 – 14 June), this time a winter trip to Queenscliff (full details are expected to be announced in early May)
