Dear OTB sailors and friends,
Last weekend was a great one for our Off the Beach sailors, kicking off with a fun Presentation night and finishing with 3 short races on Sunday afternoon in classic Autumn sunshine.
Presentation Night was one to remember as we recapped the season and recognised the winners from our successful Summer Season.
The Coman family did a wonderful job decorating the Port Phillip room for our Haunted House theme and many people took the chance to dress up including our Commodore. The Fearn family did an amazing job getting into the theme and won the best dressed award.
Our guest speakers, James Wierzbowski and Stuart Wallace, shared some amazing stories from their very different journeys in sailing, giving some valuable advice to our young sailors. The food was amazing (Thanks Kol!) and the boating department did a great job organising everything else. Thanks must also go to George Shaw and our Recreational Boating friends who together raised funds so we can continue to offer our Junior Captain an amazing experience on the Young Endeavour.
The Winter Series continues this Sunday afternoon with racing starting at 1pm, hopefully you can make it.
