The 2019 Winery Tour held on Saturday 11 May saw not one, but two fun buses head to the Mornington Peninsula!
First stop was Panton Vineyard. This was very special for us, a small winery that doesn’t normally cater for buses, but they welcomed us with open arms. With the imminent rain and cold, Karen the owner set up her beautiful property with shelter and warm fires where we enjoyed tasting her top notch selection of wines.
Then we jumped back on the bus and headed to Pier 10 Vineyard for more tastings and a scrumptious lunch. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves which was fabulous!
After lunch we shuttled those who wanted to head off for more touring. Mark our shuttle driver took us to Tucks Ridge and Montalto for additional tastings and a wander through the Montalto sculpture park, whilst other members stayed at Pier 10 as they settled in for a relaxing afternoon.
A big thank you to Keith our wonderful coach driver and Mark our very patient shuttle bus driver for getting us there and back home safely, the lovely Karen Panton for opening up her vineyard to us and to Craig, cellar door manager and Stuart, restaurant manager at Pier 10 for providing us with fabulous venue, great service and a tasty meal!
