Last Sunday saw the commencement of the 2018/19 Junior Development Squad training and day two of the Off The Beach Spring Series being held out of Sandringham Yacht Club’s Lou Abrahams Off The Beach Sailing Centre!
It was an amazing sight to see 40-45 boats out on the water in the morning between our junior and youth sailors! It was also great to see more than 50 boats hit the water in the afternoon for OTB Club racing. Unfortunately the wind wasn’t cooperative and with 0 knots, Race Officer Terry George made the call to abandon racing and send everyone ashore. The afternoon was not wasted with many of the younger kids enjoying a great day on the water with their mates in their boats!
