Race 4 of the 2016-17 ActiveTri Series to be held at the Trevor Barker Oval, Sandringham on Sunday, 12 February 2017 starting at 6:00am. Participants in the event will pass nearby local residences and businesses in the area.
The event is a Sprint, Mini and Kids distance triathlon conducted on Beach Road between from South Road, Brighton, through to Balcombe Road, Black Rock. We expect approximately 1,200 participants.
The following closures will be in place from 6:00am and reopen at 11:00am:
- Full closure of Beach Road between South Road, Brighton and Balcombe Road, Black Rock.
- No access from all side streets and roads between South Road, Brighton through to Balcombe Road, Black Rock. Limited access via crossing Beach Road to Jetty Road from Georgiana Street will be controlled by Traffic Controllers.
- Residents who need to leave properties via Beach Road during the road closure are to keep in the 40 km/h slip lane closest to residents, and head south to turn left at the next street (those residents coming from a dead end street, please take direction from the street marshal at your junction). When returning to access your property, enter north of your residence. If you are aware of any services, contractors or others that need to access your property, please pass this information onto them.
