The lightest breeze of the series resulted in one of the more fascinating races this winter. Making a good start proved difficult; spinnakers didn’t return the expected benefits; and, the disappearance of the breeze in the last half hour resulted in a nail biting finish as the time limit for the race approached. A fleet of 20 yachts started the race around the 11.7 nautical mile, 9 leg course 42.
