On a hazy Wednesday afternoon the second largest fleet of the series, 43 yachts, prepared for the last race of 2018. The fleet included 2 casual entries: FIREFOX (Kim Beveridge & Howard Davis) and THE BOOKMAKER (Andrew Slagmolen) a Northshore 36 from Hobson’s Bay Yacht Club. The breeze that averaged 6 knots for the afternoon, was only enough to take the fleet around the first four of the six leg course 13. Despite the course being shortened by 25% from 9.8 to 7.4 nautical miles the race proved good value for money with the median elapsed time of 2:21:30 being the longest of the series so far.
