Great results for SYC boats in the Australian Women’s Keelboat regatta Over the Queen’s birthday long weekend 28 boats competed for in the Australian women’s keelboat regatta, in a strong fleet our women achieved some great results. More Noise an Archambault 31 sailed by Steph Strong, Megan Aulich, Emily Close, Kate Jenkins, Claire Sundin, Alison Dale and Sasha Phillips Won Division 1 AMS and placed 3rd in Division 1 IRC which was a fantastic result considering the crew only sailed the boat for the first time 2 hours before the first race! J24 Hyperactive sailed by Kirsty Harris, Karen Neville, Joelle Roderick, Amanda Alyward and Robyn Coombs swept to victory in division 2 AMS with another SYC yacht Imaginer placing 3rd in the same division. The event was held at RMYS with 3 races on Saturday a blown out day on the Sunday and 3 races in very breezy conditions on the Monday Congratulations to all of the SYC participants in the yachts Dry White, Hyperactive and More Noise.
