Dear Members

The podcast boys have been in the studio again with podcast 6 now online, our esailing kicks off this week on both Wednesday and Thursday and let’s not forget our Mums with Mother’s Day this Sunday so we’ve got a nice little offer which if you pick up from Ken King includes an optional car wash…. And as the weather is set to improve you can also schedule in a boat wash. Here’s the detail…

1) The SYC Members Podcast Episode Six – Commodore Ashley Trebilcock joins George and Deeksie as this week’s special guest co-host. Together they chat with Aaron Cole about eSailing, they chat to Dale Jackson about his boat Contessa and Simon Hemmingway reads a specially written poem. Roving reporter Ian Howarth then catches up with Bill Stubbs to find out what he’s been up to and to round off the episode, a well-known performer at the SYC twilights Jason Vorherr presents his own composition “In the Sun”. 2) eSailing at SYC gets underway this week – so far we have 20 members registered for the various syc race days, with those being our Mercedes-Benz Brighton Wednesday Wonders, Mercedes-Benz Brighton Thursday Twilight and Sunday Off the Beach Series, all of which commence this week! And we have 18 members registered for round one of the Australian eSailing Challenge which will determine who gets to represent SYC in future rounds. 4) Hand Car Wash – if popping into grab some food this week, the car wash will be open daily from Tue-Fri 11am – 5pm…. head to the northern end of the undercroft.
